The Sports Council for Glasgow is the voluntary agency that exists to be an effective voice for sports clubs in Glasgow, and provides services to meet club needs.
The SCG is also a member of the Scottish Association of Local Sports Councils (SALSC) where we can seek to have an influence at national level.
The Sports Council for Glasgow is primarily funded by our partner, Glasgow City Council, through GlasgowLife and plays a key representative and supportive role for sports clubs within the city by working in close partnership with the City Council and GlasgowLife, the organisation responsible for managing sports facilities and delivering sports development in Glasgow on behalf of Glasgow City Council.

Membership is open to all constituted sports related clubs, organisations and individuals directly concerned with sport and related physical activities within the functional area of the Sports Council for Glasgow.
The Sports Council for Glasgow is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), registered in Scotland number SC046373and regulated by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR)
Membership Types
Individuals: £10 Annual Fee
Benefits: Can apply to the ‘General Grant Scheme’ (for coach education courses)
Up to two courses & a total value of £40
Can submit nominations for ‘Annual Awards’ event

Clubs: £30 Annual Fee
Benefits: Can apply to the ‘General Grant Scheme’
